From there, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman controlled the closing overs with outstanding discipline. Despite a late effort from de Villiers and Sachin Baby, Royal Challengers finished on 200 for 7, eight runs short of the target.

Warner’s leadership had been exceptional, Bhuvneshwar finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker and Mustafizur emerged as one of the most influential bowlers in world T20 cricket during his debut IPL season. For Hyderabad, the triumph in Bengaluru was more than a first title.
